Rover ~ Ibraheim Campbell ~ NorthWestern WildCats ~ 5112/208
Rovers are of course Hybrids, in that they are tasked equally with Run Defense and Pass Defense.
When evaluating RoverBacks, this is how I break things down:
Agility: Acceleration, Ricochet, Fluidity, and Verticity ~ that's Turn & Burn Acuity, to you Earthlings!!
Processing Speed: How quickly and effectively one Reads & Reacts to the developing Play.
Run Defense: Power, Agility, Combat Skills, and Processing Speed.
Pass Coverage: Agility and Processing Speed.
Broken down into SubCategories, it'd go something like this:
Agility
* Fluidity, above all things: Core Agility & Flexibility makes everything possible.
* Ricochet ~ How crisply and how rapidly one breaks in a new direction.
* Acceleration ~ Short Speed or Quickness. Closing Speed.
* Verticity ~ The Ability ~ or lack thereof ~ to Flips Hips and Turn & Burn in Pass Coverage.
Processing Speed
* How quickly and effectively one Reads & Reacts to the developing Play.
Run Defense
* Power
* Agility
* Combat Skills
* Processing Speed
Pass Coverage
* Agility
* Processing Speed
Processing Speed: Ditto: Moderate but with Exceptional Potential. Campbell works as hard in the Tape Room as the Weight Room, so Time & Training could very well pay off for'm in the Future: He's a smart kid.
Run Defense: Impressive and potentially Excellent. Moderate Field Vision is the Variable. Impressive Fluidity but mediocre Acceleration translating to Moderate Range. Competitive Combat Skills. Impressive Tackling.
Pass Coverage: Mediocre. Moderate Range, but sufficient for Cover 2. Competitive in Press Coverage and in Off.
His best Attributes are the Intangibles: Ibraheim Campbell is by all accounts an extremely hard working, mature, reliable, and smart kid, one who understands that the Tape Room is as crucial to Success as the Weight Room.
As such, I fully expect that he'll make the most of moderate physical Talents, and that his Trajectory, while as moderate as his Talent, will be a positive one, and that he's got a good Chance of earning Starter's Snaps eventually.
Grateful Thanks, as always, for the crucial Work done by the folks at Draft BreakDown!!

None of this is even remotely a Complaint, mind you, but rather a Warning!! Caveat Emptor!!
