Core Strength ~ to thwart the onslaught of marauding Defensive Ends in the Passing Game
Drive Power ~ to attack same Defensive Ends and drive them back ~ or aside ~ in the Running Game
Launch Velocity ~ out'f'is Stance, off the Snap
Fluidity ~ to Redirect Quickly & Effectively
Lateral Agility ~ to Stay Square as he Mirrors his man
Range ~ Short Speed ~ to drive across the Flank on Pulls & Traps or UpField to the Second Level
Combat ~ As in Hand to Hand: Dexterity, Technique, Ferocity & Stamina!!
Core Strength, Core Power, Fluidity, and ~ perhaps most of all ~ Lateral Agility are what I focus most on when evaluating Offensive Tackles.
Pass Blocking ~ Weak!! Speed Rushers will kill him.
Not only do I think that he's not suited for the Left Side, but neither do I think that he's suited for the Right.
As this Great Game becomes increasingly Speed Oriented, Right Tackles are going to need to be increasingly athletic, in order to try to deal with Edge Speed...and Danny Fluker does not qualify.
That leaves Offensive Guard, as far as I'm concerned.
And once someone figures out that that's'is best Position, he could become an exceptional one.
Hopefully, for his Sake and that of'is Team, he'll actually be drafted as one.
I'm going to grade him at his Optimum Position ~ Right Guard ~ but please note: in the unfortunately likely event that some Fool drafts'm to play Right Tackle, it could very well prove to be a Disaster.
