Strengths: Played with a 3-pt. stance in the 5-tech in college. Really knows how to use his hands to disengage. Uses opponents leverage against him. Steps down inside hard and fast and stuffs the middle run. Has a very nice swim move on the pass rush. Pro size and demeanor. Keeps coming. Finished nicely to the QB. Last step to the play is long, well-directed, and quick. Wraps. Natural strength. Lunch pail guy who will go up to bat balls. Seeks & destroys. Gets more done than he should.
Weaknesses: Not real smooth in his motions. Not an edge rusher. Bull rusher with a limited repertoire. Struggles to redirect at times. Average overall athleticism. Has never been tested against quality linemen. No conversion opportunities. Must measure at 6'4" plus and hope he can gain enough weight to stay as a 5-tech at the next level. Not explosive enough for a pass-rush specialist. Not big enough, and adding size may rob his quickness-- which is already marginal for the next level.
Projection: Priority UDFA."
