Possesses good speed down the field and has some suddenness to his game. However, struggles to consistently gain separation for himself vs. man coverage, can be bullied around down the field and is just more of a glider. Hasn't ever been overly productive and his best chance will come on special teams at the next level, where he can be explosive and shifty after the catch.
Impression: A kick/punt return option only who will make a roster on special teams. Doesn't look like a legit NFL wideout even as a slot guy."
2009 - 2nd Team All-WAC as KR. Caught 20 for 205 and 0 TDs (longest 50 yards). 8 punt returns for 107 including 85-yarder for TD and 23 kick returns for 622 including a 100-yarder for TD. Battled turf toe and a sprained ankle in the second half of the season.
Just 24 yards shy of all time WAC return record with 2758 career yards.
Strengths: Explosive speed and game-breaking burst that allow him to hit the seam and make big plays. Able to 'change gears' both up and down to make defenders miss. Versatile athlete who can score in a variety of ways - used in the wildcat, in the slot, and as a returner. Willing blocker, but sometimes overmatched physically. Definitely worth consideration as a return man.
Weaknesses: Diminutive size puts him at risk - missed 2 games and 4 other starts this season. Had nagging ankle injury in 2009. Does not catch ball away from his chest - hands are not too reliable. I am concerned his only value will be as a returned at the next level.
Projection: 7th round."
