Struggles to generate leverage for himself initially and despite his massive size, doesn't create much of an initial surge. Works his legs through contact when engaged, but is tighter hipped, struggling with balance, and can easily be shed when trying to create a push.
Will double over at the waist trying to gain leverage and ends up on the ground too often. Is somewhat coordinated on the move, but lacks ideal range pulling from the backside and lacks the ability to drop pad level and cut down on contact.
Too often allows blockers to get under his pad level and either chop him down or knock him off balance enough to where again he ends up on the ground.
As a pass blocker his initial movement is upright. He winds his arms and exposes his chest in order to gain momentum toward the edge and, to his credit, stays somewhat compact/balanced on his kick-slide. However, he stays upright, doesn't bend at the knees and, despite his size, can be overwhelmed vs. the bull rush.
Lacks ideal lateral quickness, doesn't have the shuffle-and-slide ability to hold his own in space and too often is forced to lunge into his target. Isn't very balanced into contact.
He doubles over at the waist, lunges into his opponent and can easily be slipped toward the corner or inside. Lacks the bend/footwork to stay on blocks for long.
