Isn't a guy who has the ability to cleanly redirect and close on the football in the deep half and gives up a lot of separation when asked to drop down over the slot. Doesn't seem real instinctive, forceful or willing to consistently come down and tackle in the box and wasn't a real player even at the Sun Belt level.
Impression: He's slight, leggy and takes too far long to get up to speed to hold up in the NFL."
Positive: Fluid, agile defensive back who makes plays sideline to sideline. Stays with receivers across the middle of the field, covers a lot of area, and possesses good ball skills. Quickly breaks to the throw out of his plant, possesses a sense of timing, and fights hard to defend passes. Effectively diagnoses plays, takes proper angles to the action, and wraps up when tackling. Shows burst to the ball and gets up the field quickly to defend the run.
Negative: Lacks true safety size and is built more like a cornerback. Not a sturdy defensive back who delivers a lot of jarring blows or brings opponents down on initial contact.
Analysis: Jennings is an athletic defensive back with terrific coverage skills, but he is limited by size. He possesses all the ability necessary to be used as a dime back."
