Positive: Athletic and explosive linebacker who makes plays all over the field. Moves well, uses his hands to protect himself, and shows ability in pursuit. Forceful up the field, gets depth on pass drops, and covers a lot of area sideline to sideline. Quickly changes direction with the ability to immediately alter his angle of attack, flows well to the action, and wraps up well tackling. Strong at the point, defeats blocks, and brings ball carriers down at the point of attack. Fast enough to cut off the flanks or defeat blocks on the blitz.
Negative: Is late to react and at times too concerned about rushing up the field, causing him to overrun plays. Does not show a great burst.
Analysis: Wilkerson is one of the more underrated linebackers in the draft and a prospect who combines athleticism and physicality. He needs to fine-tune his game, but he has all the skills to develop into a starter on the weak side for an NFL team."
