Doesn't maximize his length in jump ball situations, but has a strong pair of hands and does a nice job plucking the throw. Lacks the initial burst and speed to quickly force opposing DB's to open up their hips and turn to run. Seems to glide into his sharply breaking routes and doesn't generate much separation for himself out of his breaks on any area of the field. Doesn't seem to possess the kind of shiftiness needed to slip press off the line and even if he did isn't the type of athlete that can run away from defenders once he gains a step. Tore his ACL toward the end of the season and now has some medical concerns that need to be checked out.
Impression: Possesses nice size, but isn't a real explosive athlete, plays at one speed and is going to have a tough time gaining separation for himself vs. man at the next level."
Strengths: Frantrell has good size, adequate speed and natural hands. He's a durable 3-year starter for U.A.B. Good lean, runs routes with natural agility and finesse.
Weaknesses: Has been suspect on some misreads. May have trouble absorbing an NFL playbook. Won't shock any scouts at the combine, he has only average speed. Not a gritty, over-the-middle type of receiver.
Projection: We're currently projecting Frantrell in the 5th or 6th round. But he's definitely got room to improve during the offseason."
