Is still developing as a route runner. Is a bit tight in the hips, has a tendency to start to drift into his routes prematurely and isn’t real sharp in and out of his breaks. Will begin to advertise his routes early and isn’t much more than a vertical route runner at this stage. However, he will work as a blocker on the outside, can run a bit after the catch and grades out well enough to warrant a draft pick and roster spot.
Impression: A vertical route runner who has ability to accelerate away from defenders once he slips press and making plays down the field. Still needs to add some polish to his game, but he has enough athleticism to work his way onto an NFL roster and fight for playing time as a sub-package/vertical threat down the line."
Smooth and NFL ready, Moore projects well as a No. 2 WR at the next level, offering sound route-running, consistent hands and proven ability to go deep and make the tough catch.

Positives: Well-rounded receiver prospect. Soft, natural hands, can snatch in traffic and high points in space. Excellent "trajectory assessment" of thrown ball, especially off-target throws (of which he had plenty at UT) - adjusts his route immediately to the correct course straight to where the ball will be when it descends. Disciplined route-runner. Good effort and technique blocking. Consistent deep threat. Two-year starter really emerged during a fine senior season.
Negatives: Didn't do much as a kick returner in limited chances. Thin build, not a dominant blocker. While fast and shifty, is not elite in either category. Can have trouble breaking through press man coverage. Was shut down by better competition, although it is fair to point out that the whole UT offense was shut down too often, and there isn't much a receiver can do when the quarterback is constantly under immediate pressure."
Positive: Developing receiver who makes big plays from the line of scrimmage. Quickly releases off the line, shows a terrific burst, and turns it on in a single step. Plays with good body control, easily makes the deep reception in stride, and has strong hands. Stays low exiting breaks, comes back to the ball, and extends his hands offering the quarterback a nice target. Gives effort blocking.
Negative: Double catches the ball on occasion. Marginal sharpness running routes.
Analysis: Moore has been productive the past two seasons at Tennessee and stood out as a big-play threat last year. He offers potential as a fourth receiver at the next level and should only get better as he develops his game."
Negatives: Not very big, has a big of a thin frame and measured in shorter than expected at the combine... Struggles against press coverage, takes too many false steps off the line of scrimmage... More of a straight-line runner, isn't a creative runner when the ball is in his hands... Flopped as a return man at Tennessee... Below-average run blocker, takes poor angles and has a weak build... Never put up big numbers in college... Can disappear in games, had five games with two or less catches in 2010... Takes too long for him to get to full speed."

Strengths: Athletic player with good speed and quickness. Soft hands to catch the ball away from his body. Excellent balance and body control. Can high-point the ball and will make the circus catch. Nice deep speed to take the top off a defense. Well rounded athlete who was a point guard who averaged 20+ ppg and state track champion (110H) while a prep.
Weaknesses: Looks a bit frail and won't stand up to the big hits he'll take in the NFL. Struggles to get off the LOS against the jam. Won't make anyone miss after he catches the ball. Lacks the wiggle to avoid tackles and the strength to break tackle attempts.
Projection: Moore has shown enough as a deep threat to intrigue NFL teams. Should hear his name anywhere from the late 5th to the early 7th rounds of the 2011 NFL Draft."

Denarius Moore still has much to work on, but he's got tremendous Burst off the Line, surprising Strength to free himself from pesky Corner Backs and consistently haul in receptions...and blazing Speed.
Sleeper.
