Pollard is a limited route runner, more of a vertical threat only in the Hawaii offense, who exhibits a good first step and second gear when asked to track the football. He looks natural adjusting to over-the-shoulder type grabs.
However, he looks a bit tight-hipped and is limited as a route runner. He's more of a short crossing pattern and vertical guy only, as he struggles to break down and cleanly change directions. A linear guy only.
Pollard doesn't seem to possess the short-area quickness to beat press off the line and fend off contact into his route.
He looks natural plucking the football and will snag off his frame, but again he isn't physical enough to routinely go up and high point plays when in battle down the field, as he has a tendency to drift and doesn't attack the ball.
Impression: Pollard possesses good speed and can be a decent vertical threat. However, he doesn't offer much else and doesn't have the frame to get off press and take a pounding as a route runner at the next level."
