He has the skill set to succeed at the next level and stands to be a fifth-round pick to a team looking for receiver depth and the type of mature player who can step in and play right away.
He is the type of heady player who could play right away at the next level. While he will be productive underneath, he has the speed to stretch the field and runs routes that will get him open and gain yardage at the next level. He is physical and not afraid to go across the middle.
He isn't a reliable blocker outside and struggles to sustain and stay in front of his man when working in the run game. He will be serviceable, but likely a non-explosive player at the next level."
He possesses a real savvy about his game; he knows how to change speed, set up routes and work himself open as a receiver. He exhibits good straight-line speed as well and does a nice job being deceptive, setting up corners with the gear to run away and create separation once he gains a step. Looks like a mid 4.4 guy.
Plucks the football well away from his frame, and is a natural receiver is comfortable going up and attacking the football.
He isn't a real polished route runner at this stage however, he looks a bit tight getting out of his breaks running his routes at full speed, but seems to glide in and out of his breaks, even on vertical routes and there isn't much of a sharp snap to his game.
On sharper breaking routes he really rounds off his angles as well, and isn't real sudden/shifty in and out of his breaks.
He plays more fast than quick and looks a little quicker with the ball in his hands, but is more of a one cut guy who can set up blocks and once to get up the field quickly. Will work as a blocker, but is not overly physical or sticky through contact.
Impression: A try-hard guy with a feel of the game who could endear himself to a coaching staff, but doesn't warrant a draft pick in my mind."
Has sub-4.5 speed, but is still more of a possession receiver who runs nice routes and has good hands;
Also a dangerous runner after the catch; has over 100 career receptions and averaged close to 20 yards per catch over the past couple of seasons; good athlete was an all-state lacrosse player in high school."
