However, isn't the most instinctive of backs. Struggles to quickly decipher information between the tackles, has a tendency to bounce the ball outside prematurely and just isn't real patient. Seems to run out of control at times inside and just isn't the most natural of runners. Plus, despite his size, he doesn't run with great forward lean. Gets upright, doesn't protect his frame and goes down easy on contact. Allows too many defenders to get under his pad level on all areas of the field and exposes too much of his frame.
He's a tough kid who isn't afraid to stick his head in as a blocker, but isn't much more than a cut-only guy. Displays natural hands in the pass game, can catch the football out of the backfield and looks comfortable working his way open in space and creating after the catch.
Impression: An undersized, explosive athlete who has a real initial burst, second gear and shiftiness to his game. Runs too upright to be a back in the NFL, but could be a potential slot guy/special teams return man; he's worth a shot in camp."
Strengths: World class speed, and has some open field moves. Confident. Nice vertical. Could be looked at in the slot. Had some nice production numbers at Union College. Has some hops.
Weaknesses: Not much of a football resume. More of a track guy than a football player at this stage of his development. Would have a long learning curve. Pure project.
Projection: Priority UDFA."
