Marcell Dareus brings tremendous versatility to the table. He could end up anywhere on the Line, and on either a 30 Defense or a 40, and I think his best possible fit would be as an Under Tackle in a 40, in my opinion. He's pretty good at Anchoring against the Run, he's got some Pass Rush moves, and he displays exceptional Lateral Agility for a big man. However, he strikes me, all in all, as a pretty good prospect, not an exceptional one. He seems to me like a 2nd or 3rd Rounder. And for a guy who is a clear Top 10 target, that, in my opinion, is a guy who is heavily overrated, probably because of the Championship Game, 15 months ago.

I've got a bad feeling about Nick Fairley.
There's no question that the guy has MONSTER talent. When he's on, he can almost single handedly DESTROY an Offense...
But when I consider the fact that he didn't produce anything at ALL until his "Contract Year", I wonder about whether he loves the Game, or the money. And when I see that he simply disappeared for long stretches on many occasions even in that Contract Year, and despite the fact that his team was in the thick of the Championship race...I start to wonder if the guy even has enough self motivation to earn more than that fat rookie contract.
Ladies and Gentlemen??
I smell a BUST.

Corey Liuget is very similar to Marcell Dareus, except without all the hype: He's extremely versatile, and could indeed play on either a 30 or a 40. And, like Dareus, he seems to me to have the best shot at success as an Under Tackle in a 40.
I'm not crazy about the kid. His resume is wafer thin, and he's raw as hell, and he had serious conditioning problems until this, his Contract Year. And yet he's become a clear 1st Round projection in a dubious Draft Class.
Bust!!

Mo Wilkerson is still pretty raw, and his proclivity for playing too high worries me, as it speaks to a lack of lower body Power + Strength. It seems to me that those who start off playing too high are at great risk of always doing so. And he's not very good with his hands, either.
In his favor, he exhibits exceptional Lateral Agility, a legacy of his multi sport past, and has the frame to add more mass, should he choose to.
But all in all, I don't see the 1st Round value, there, that he currently projects to be. I see more of a 3rd Round Project type.

Phil Taylor is astonishingly athletic for such a Beast!!
Simply put: This guy is raw as hell, but he commands an amazing fusion of Size, Athleticism, and Strength.
I see no need to dance around it: He is a Super Beast, and while he carries some risk, his upside is IMMENSE.

Stephen Paea is a pure, unadulterated Run Stuffer. He has very little in the way of Pass Rush moves, and isn't much of a penetrator. But he is astonishingly Strong at the point of attack, the strongest in this entire Draft Class.
This is a guy, it seems to me, who's going to clog the middle ~ and clog it well ~ for a long, long time. Stick him at Nose Tackle, let him redirect traffic to your play makers on the outside, and don't worry about that position for the next ten years.

After a disastrous ~ albeit relaxing ~ senior season, Marvin Austin has had a strong resurgence. His appearance at the Combine, and the numbers he posted there, clearly demonstrated that he hasn't been idle.
Nevertheless, I smell "Bust".
He's an explosive Talent, and has everything it takes to burn me on this one, as do many whom I've thus projected.
Here's hoping he does.
But I cannot in good conscience predict anything else: His lackadaisical attitude and self absorption are pretty much universally acknowledged. His inconsistent motor is notorious. He got in trouble, missed an entire year, and now, in the wake of an excellent Combine, he's ascending back through the 2nd Round and may quite possibly ~ in a thin Market ~ reach the 1st. So much for the consequences of ones actions.
He screwed up, and the result was that he got the year off, and now he's gonna get paid.
I have an hard time believing that he's learned a lesson, and is suddenly going to be focused, after cashing in.

Drake Nevis is certainly limited to a 40 Scheme as an Under Tackle, but within that context he should be a damned good one. Like Nick Fairley and DaQuan Bowers, he didn't put it all together until his senior year, which is a red flag. Even so, I get a decidedly different vibe from him.
As a player, he's a dangerous, attacking Pass Rusher, though an undersized Run Defender. Good motor, though, which assuages that liability, somewhat.
Solid.

Kenrick Ellis has a checkered history, to say the least. He's had weight problems in the past, and, coming from a small school, he's a bit raw.
But my GOD, does this kid command a NIGHTMARISH fusion of Size, Power, Speed, and shocking Athleticism.
If he harnesses his gifts, he has nothing less than Hall of Fame Talent.
Sleeper + Potential Super Star!!

Jurrell Casey has some Pass Rushing skills, but is weak against the Run, and at his size definitely needs to be in a 40 Scheme. He's a decent Risk/Reward Ratio for the 3rd Round, which is where he's projected to go.
Solid.
