However, is a natural plucker in the pass game. Displays a good set of hands, is coordinated when asked to adjust to the football and isn't afraid to work the middle of the field. Possesses a good feel when asked to find voids in the defense, settle down in soft spots and work his way back toward the football.
Isn't a burner by any stretch and doesn't seem to have a great initial burst or second gear, but is surprisingly coordinated after the catch. Has the ability to side step a tackler, get north/south quickly and loves to finish his runs.
Exhibits some short-area quickness in the pass game as well, uses his big frame to box defenders out and can hang onto the throw. However, isn't the kind of athlete who will consistently be able to generate separation for himself in the pass game down the field vs. NFL-caliber athletes and is a bit limited in man coverage.
Takes good angles as a blocker, but doesn't exhibit a real snap into contact. Doesn't consistently finish with his legs either. Has the upper body strength to naturally anchor on contact at the small-school level, but would like to see him be more dominant into and through contact.
Impression: Is a humble kid who works hard, has a shot as a free agent as an H-back type option who can catch the football, but I would like to see more dominance from him as a blocker at the small-school level. Seems like a guy who would be willing to really work at it though if given a chance."
